For more information, see [Configuring File Backup Job Templates](sn_file_backup_job_configure_template.md) and [Configuring Data Source Templates](sn_manage_unstructured_data_sources.md#data_source_template). - Settings that a backup job inherits from the template are updated automatically if template changes. - If you do not want job settings to be updated, after you create a job, remove the template from the **Job Template** field. - If you want to change job settings later, you will need to select a template with desired settings for this job again. Changes will be applied immediately. ::: ## Creating File Backup Jobs From App To create a file backup job from the app, perform the following steps: 1. Click **All** > **Veeam** > **Unstructured Data** > **Jobs**. 2. Click **New**. 3. Specify a name and description for the job. 4. In the **Data Source** field, select a file server or a file share. 5. On the **Protected Objects** tab, specify paths to protected objects. You can also add an inclusion or exclusion mask. If you use a file server as a data source, you must specify at least one path to protected objects. 6. In the **Job Template** field, select a template that will be used for this job. 7. To allow a specific user group to use this job, unlock the **User Groups** field and select a user group from the list. 8. Click **Submit**. ::: note In the app, you can back up objects only from one unstructured data source. To back up objects from multiple unstructured data sources, you need to [create a file backup job in Veeam Backup & Replication](https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/userguide/file_share_backup_job.html). The app collects and displays these jobs in the **All** > **Veeam** > **Unstructured Data** > **Jobs** section. Consider that for file backup jobs with multiple unstructured data sources, the app displays only the first added data source. This means that you can update the list of protected objects only for this data source. ::: [![](images/file_backup_job_create.png)](images/file_backup_job_create.png){.toggle scale=80} ## Creating File Backup Jobs From Service Catalog To create a file backup job from the ServiceNow Service Catalog, perform the following steps: 1. In the **Data Source Type** field, select a file server or an SMB file share. 5. Specify a name and description for the job. 6. In the **Data Source Template** field, select a configuration that will be used for this data source. 7. In the **Backup Job Template** field, select a template that will be used for this job. 8. In the **Data Source Path** field, specify a path to protected objects. 9. Specify credentials for the data source. 10. To run a full backup session after you create the job, select the **Run Job After Creation** check box. Alternatively, you can run it later manually in the **All** > **Veeam** > **Unstructured Data** > **Jobs** section. For more details, see [Running File Backup Jobs](sn_file_backup_job_run.md). 11.
