# Step 3. Restore Files and Directories

After you select the backup and restore point, Veeam Agent will prompt you to select one of the available restore options:

- You can mount the backup to your machine. For more information, see [Restoring from Mounted Backup](restore_files_mount.md).
- You can directly browse the contents of the backup and restore files. For more information, see [Restoring with Backup File Browser](restore_files_browser.md).
