# Step 8. Define Backup Schedule

At the **Schedule** step of the wizard, specify the schedule according to which you want to perform backups. Backup job scheduling options differ depending on the edition of Veeam Agent for Mac:

If Veeam Agent operates in the standalone mode under a local license, and you target the backup job to a Veeam backup server, when you connect to the backup server for the first time, by default, Veeam Backup & Replication will assign a workstation license to your Mac computer. To have the server edition schedule options available for your backup job, you must manually assign a server license to you Mac computer in the Veeam Backup & Replication console.
