# Immutability Settings

This section describes immutability settings for backup files stored on the backup target.

        <li class="Table_List">1 — Veeam Agent keeps backup files for the entire duration of their retention policy.</li>
      </ul>

## Example

You want to keep backups immutable for 20 days. The input XML file will contain the following parameters:
