Step 5. Specify AWS Network Resources
At the Networking step of the wizard, specify the AWS network resource settings:
- From the Amazon VPC drop-down list, select an Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) to which the Veeam Backup for AWS appliance will be connected. To create a new Amazon VPC, select (create new).
For an Amazon VPC to be displayed in the drop-down list, it must be created in advance as described in the Working with VPCs and subnets section in the AWS documentation.
- From the Subnet drop-down list, select a subnet to which the Veeam Backup for AWS appliance will be connected. To create a new subnet, select (create new).
For a subnet to be displayed in the drop-down list, it must be created in advance as described in the Working with VPCs and subnets section in the AWS documentation.
- From the Security group drop-down list, select an AWS security group to which the Veeam Backup for AWS appliance will be connected. To create a new security group, select (create new).
For a security group to be displayed in the drop-down list, it must be created in advance as described in the Working with security groups section in the AWS documentation.

Make sure the VPC security group allows the Veeam Backup & Replication server to access the Veeam Backup for AWS appliance through HTTPS. For more information on how to configure access, see AWS Documentation. |
