Accessing Veeam Plug-in for VMware vCloud Director

    Veeam Plug-in for VMware vCloud Director lets members of vCloud Director (vCD) organizations manage their VMs in the native vCD environment. Users get access to the portal features by logging in to the vCloud Director Service Provider Tenant Portal under their vCD credentials.

    Before you can access Veeam Plug-in for VMware vCloud Director, you must configure it.

    Configuring Portal

    You can configure Veeam Plug-in for VMware vCloud Director under the vCD system administrator account.

    To configure Veeam Plug-in for VMware vCloud Director:

    1. Log in to vCloud Director Service Provider Admin Portal under a system administrator account.
    2. Upload the Veeam Backup & Replication plug-in for vCloud Director to the portal. You can find the plug-in file in the ISO installation image of Veeam Backup & Replication.

    1. From the More menu, select Data Protection with Veeam.
    2. In the Plug-in Configuration section, specify the URL to the Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager website and click Save.
    3. On the Enterprise Manager server in IIS Manager, recycle the VeeamBackup application pool. For more information, see the Recycling Settings for an Application Pool <recycling> sections of Microsoft Docs.

    Accessing Portal

    To access Veeam Plug-in for VMware vCloud Director:

    1. Log in to vCloud Director Tenant Portal under a vCD account with proper rights.

    1. From the More menu, select Data Protection with Veeam.
