Adding Database Files to Veeam Explorer Scope Manually

To add databases manually, do the following:

  1. Open Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Active Directory.
  2. On the ribbon menu, go to the Home tab and click Add Database.
  3. Specify the location of the Active Directory database file and, if required, the folder containing corresponding transaction log files (Edb.log and Edb.chk).
  4. Click Open.

By default, Active Directory database file (NTDS.DIT) is located in the %SystemRoot%\NTDS directory. Make sure that the System registry hive is located in the same directory.
