Before you can work with the backup contents using Veeam Explorer for Microsoft SQL Server, you need to obtain database files located in the backup.

- Using Backup or Replica File. See this section to know how to obtain database files using Guest OS Restore wizard and then browse the content of the VM using in-built Veeam Backup Browser.

When you use Veeam Backup & Replication data recovery features, the file system of the VM is mounted using the local mount server and can be added to the application scope either automatically or manually.
