Step 5. Specify GCP Network Resources
At the Networking step of the wizard, specify the GCP network resource settings:
- From the VPC drop-down list, select a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) network to which the Veeam Backup for GCP appliance will be connected. To create a new VPC, select (create new).
For a VPC network to be displayed in the drop-down list, it must be created in advance as described in the Using VPC networks section in the Google Cloud documentation.
- From the Subnet drop-down list, select a subnet to which the Veeam Backup for GCP appliance will be connected. To create a new subnet, select (create new).
For a subnet to be displayed in the drop-down list, it must be created in advance as described in the Using VPC networks section in the Google Cloud documentation.
- From the Network tag drop-down list, select a network tag that will be assigned to the Veeam Backup for GCP appliance. To create a new network tag, select (create new).
For a network tag to be displayed in the drop-down list, it must be created in advance as described in the Configuring network tags section in the Google Cloud documentation.
- In the Backup server public IP address field, specify an IP address of the or a scope of IP addresses in CIDR notation that will be allowed to access the Veeam Backup for GCP appliance.
Veeam Backup for GCP will create a security rule for the specified IP addresses. Note that the Veeam Backup & Replication server IP address must fall into the specified IP addresses.
