Snapshot Jobs (NetApp and Nimble)

    During Backup from Storage Snapshots, Veeam Backup & Replication instructs the storage system to create temporary storage snapshots. Veeam Backup & Replication uses these snapshots as a data source for VM data processing. Temporary storage snapshots are application-consistent: they hold VM data in a consistent state and guarantee proper restore of application and services.

    You can use snapshots created with Veeam Backup & Replication to build a snapshot chain on the primary or secondary storage array.

    To create application-consistent snapshots on storage arrays, you must configure a backup job of the necessary type. Veeam Backup & Replication lets you configure two types of jobs:
