A backup policy is a collection of settings that define the way backup operations are performed: what data to back up, where to store backups, when to start the backup process, and so on. ::: note Only users assigned the *Administrator* or *Backup Operator* role can perform backup operations in Veeam Backup for Salesforce. However, these users can create and run backup policies within their permission scope only — that is, for companies and organizations whose data they can access. ::: ## In This Section - [Creating Backup Policies](creating_backup_policies.md) - [Starting and Stopping Backup Policies](starting_backup_policies.md) - [Disabling and Enabling Backup Policies](disabling_backup_policies.md) - [Editing Backup Policies](editing_backup_policies.md) - [Reloading Fields and Files](reloading.md) - [Reloading Metadata](reloading_metadata.md) - [Removing Backup Policies](removing_backup_policies.md) - [Viewing Backup Policy Details](viewing_backup_policy_details.md) - [Viewing Backed-Up Data](viewing_backed_up_data.md)
