## Summary

The datastore that the virtual machine or virtual disk uses cannot be verified for compliance with settings that are required by the virtual machine storage profile.

## Causes

The compliance status of the datastore for a VM whose disks reside on the datastore is unknown.

## Resolution

Wait for Compliance Status to be evaluated or use vSphere Web Client to check storage compliance for a VM.
