The SIOC has detected that an external party is contributing to I/O congestion on a datastore. The external workload may be caused by a third-party backup solution accessing a VM snapshot on the datastore, system operations performed by the storage array or incorrect datastore configuration. ## Resolution Check if non-VI workload can be avoided, so that SIOC can properly and most effectively allocate storage traffic between virtual machines. ## External Refer to this [VMware KB article](https://developer.broadcom.com/xapis/virtual-infrastructure-json-api/latest/data-structures/NonVIWorkloadDetectedOnDatastoreEvent/) for more information on supported datastore configuration.
