# VmMacConflictEvent

## Summary

This event records a MAC address conflict for a virtual machine.

## Causes

The MAC address of the VM conflicts with MAC assigned to another VM.

Note that this event has been observed during failover of FT (Fault-Tolerant) virtual machines.

## Resolutions

If this occurs during FT VM failover, then no action may be required. In other cases, check configuration and status of VM and vCenter.
