# Step 2. Move Collector to New Group

The new group is visible in the **Veeam Collectors** tree. It has no Collectors and no jobs yet. To move a Collector to the Development group:

1. Select the Collector that you want to move (the *veeamcol3* Collector from our example) and click **Move**.

2. In the **Move Collector** window, choose the necessary group (the *Development* group from our example) and click **Apply**.

As soon as the Collector is placed in the group, the group becomes *Active*.
