The VE Service is regularly polls the heartbeat of its connection to a VMware vCenter Server. If connection to the vCenter Server is lost, an automated Recovery Action is triggered to disable the vCenter Server connection and create direct monitoring connections to all vSphere hosts. This feature eliminates vCenter Server as a SPoF (Single Point of Failure) for monitoring data. ## In This Section - [Initial Configuration](initial_configuration.md) - [How It Works](how_it_works.md) - [vCenter Connection Failback](vcenter_connection_failback.md) - [vCenter Server Maintenance and Failover](vcenter_maintenance_and_failover.md) - [Tasks](tasks.md)
