# Veeam VMware Custom Monitors

Veeam MP for VMware allows you to create OpsMgr unit monitors based on the predefined Veeam MP monitor types — **vCenter Alarm Monitor** and **vSphere Host Service Monitor**:

- If based on the [vCenter Alarm Monitor](vcenter_alarm_monitor.md) type, unit monitors will use data obtained from Veeam Collectors to track custom alarms configured in the vCenter Server.
- If based on the [vSphere Host Service Monitor](host_service_monitor.md) type, unit monitors will use data obtained from Veeam Collectors to check the state of services running on ESXi hosts.
