# Configuring VM Backup Job Templates

To create VM backup jobs in Veeam App for ServiceNow, you need to configure job templates first. To do this, perform the following steps:

 1. Click **All** > **Veeam** > **Virtual Machines** > **Job Templates**.
 2. Click **New**.
 3. Specify the name of the template.
 4. In the **Veeam Connection** field, select the Veeam Backup & Replication server on which you plan to create jobs with this template.
 5. In the **Creation Type** field, select the backup job type — *VSphere Backup* or *HyperV Backup*.
 6. Fill in mandatory job settings and the optional ones if required. For more information on all job settings, see the following sections in the Veeam Backup & Replication User Guide:

    For scheduled jobs, specify a schedule template in the **Schedule Template** field. For more information, see [Configuring Schedule Templates](sn_configure_schedule_template.md).

 7. To allow a specific user group to use this template, unlock the **User Groups** field and select a user group from the list.
 8. Click **Submit**.
