# Disabling Font Smoothing for Remote Desktop Connections

If you take screenshots from a VM desktop over a remote desktop connection, you can disable font smoothing in the Remote Desktop Connection options.

1. In the **Remote Desktop Connection** window, click **Show Options**.
2. Switch to the **Experience** tab.
3. Clear the **Font smoothing** check box.

Before taking screenshots on a remote desktop, make sure the display scaling settings are set to 100%. Otherwise, your screenshots may get blurry.
