# Email vs. E-mail

**E-mail** and **email** are both correct, but **e-mail** is more outdated.

Use **email** whenever possible. The only exception is when you need to describe a UI that has the word **e-mail** displayed somewhere in its tabs or wizards. In this case, use **e-mail** consistently through the document.
