Configuring Chargeback Reports and Notifications

Before you generate chargeback reports and send them to managed departments, you must customize chargeback report appearance settings and configure chargeback notifications. Use the following procedures to make sure you completed all required configuration steps.

Customizing Chargeback Report Appearance

Before you generate chargeback reports, you must complete the following configuration steps:

  1. Fill in the company profile.

Specify your company name and contact details in the company profile. This information will be displayed in the From section of chargeback reports.

  1. Customize portal branding.

Upload a custom report logo that must be displayed in chargeback reports.

  1. Register a department account and specify contact details.

Specify a department name, address and details of a contact person. This information will be displayed in the To section of chargeback reports.

Configuring Chargeback Notifications

A chargeback notification is an email message with an attached chargeback report that is sent to a managed department.

To configure Veeam Availability Console to send chargeback notifications:

  1. Fill in the company profile.

Specify your company name and contact details in the company profile. This information will be displayed in the chargeback notification footer.

  1. Customize portal branding.

Upload a custom report logo and specify the portal web address. The report logo and portal web address will be displayed in the chargeback notification footer.

  1. Configure SMTP server settings.

Specify settings of an SMTP server that will be used to send chargeback notifications.

  1. Configure chargeback notification settings.

In the chargeback notification settings, specify a sender's address and a subject for chargeback notifications.

  1. Register a department account, specify contact details and recipient.

In the department account settings, specify a department name, address, name and email address of a contact person. Department details will be displayed in the chargeback notification body. Chargeback notifications will be sent at the email address specified in the department account settings.

  1. Choose how to send chargeback notifications.

You can schedule automatic generation of chargeback reports and delivery of chargeback notifications to automate the process of sending recurring chargeback reports.

You can generate chargeback reports and send chargeback notifications manually.
