When you perform crucial configuration changes to the Veeam Availability Console portal, you might need to put the portal to the maintenance mode.
Enabling Maintenance Mode for Veeam Availability Console
When maintenance mode is enabled for the Veeam Availability Console portal, users will not be able to authenticate with the portal remotely. The portal welcome page will display a message saying that the portal is undergoing maintenance, and all services are temporarily unavailable.
To enable maintenance mode for Veeam Availability Console:
- Log in to Veeam Availability Console as a Portal Administrator.

- At the top right corner of the Veeam Availability Console window, click Configuration.
- In the configuration menu on the left, under Server Settings click Settings.
- At the top, open the Maintenance Mode tab.
- Set the Enable maintenance mode for the backup portal toggle to On.
- Click Save.
Disabling Maintenance Mode for Veeam Availability Console
To disable maintenance mode for Veeam Availability Console:
- Log on to the machine that hosts Veeam Availability Console as a local Administrator.
If you installed Veeam Availability Console using the distributed deployment scenario, log on to the machine that hosts the Veeam Availability Console Web UI component.
- Log in to Veeam Availability Console as a Portal Administrator.

- In the Settings section open the Maintenance Mode tab.
- Set the Enable maintenance mode for the backup portal toggle to Off.
- Click Save.
After you disable the maintenance mode for Veeam Availability Console, portal users will be able to authenticate with the portal in a usual way.
