Sending Registration Email Message

When you create a new department, you can send a registration email message to users in this department.

The email message contains:

  • Credentials of the Department Owner for connecting to the service provider and accessing the Client Portal
  • Link to the Veeam Availability Console portal
  • Brief instructions on getting started with Veeam Availability Console

Before You Begin

Before you send a registration email message, complete the following prerequisites:

  1. Fill in the company profile.

Specify your company name and contact details in the company profile. This information will be displayed in the footer of the registration email message.

  1. Customize portal branding.

Upload a custom report logo and check the portal web address. The report logo will be displayed in the footer of the registration email message. The web address will be included in the body, and displayed in the footer of the registration email message.

  1. Configure SMTP server settings.

Specify settings of an SMTP server that will be used to send email notifications.

  1. Specify global notification policy settings.

In the global notification policy settings, specify an address of the notification sender. This address will be displayed in the From field of the registration email message.

Sending Registration Email Message to New Departments

You can send a registration email message when you create a new department:

  1. Launch the New Department wizard and specify department settings.

  1. At the Department Info step of the wizard, in the Primary Contact Email Address field, specify an address at which the registration email message must be sent.
  2. At the Summary step of the wizard, select the Send registration email to the primary and secondary contacts for this department when I click Save check box.
  3. Click Finish.

Veeam Availability Console will send a registration email message at the email address specified in the Department Info section of the department settings.

Sending Registration Email Message to Existing Departments

You can send a registration email message to already existing departments.

Sending Registration Email Message Note:

An email message sent to an existing department does not include the password of the Department Owner. Only the Department Owner username is included in the email body.

To send a registration email message to one or more existing departments:

  1. Log in to Veeam Availability Console as a Portal Administrator.

  1. In the menu on the left, under Clients click Departments.
  2. Select one or more departments in the list.
  3. At the top of the list, click Send Registration Email.

Veeam Availability Console will send an email message at the email address specified in the Department Info section of the department settings.
