Viewing Chargeback Reports

In the Client Portal, you can view details of chargeback reports that the Portal Administrator generated for your department. Chargeback reports are available as PDF documents that you can view or download.

Required Privileges

To perform this task, a user must have one of the following roles assigned: Department Owner, Chargeback Auditor.

How to View Chargeback Reports

To view chargeback report details:

  1. Log in to Veeam Availability Console.

For details, see Accessing Veeam Availability Console.

  1. In the menu on the left, under Reporting click Chargeback Reports.

Veeam Availability Console will display a list of chargeback reports. You can narrow down the list of chargeback reports by the generation date.

  1. Select the necessary chargeback report in the list and click a link in the Chargeback Report column.

The chargeback report PDF file will be saved to the default download location on your computer.

View Chargeback Report Details

Each chargeback report in the list is described with a set of properties. By default, some properties in the list are hidden. To display additional properties, click the ellipsis on the right of the list header and choose properties that must be displayed.

  • Chargeback Report — link to download a chargeback report.
  • Generated On — date and time when a chargeback report was generated.
  • Total Cost of Ownership — total cost of consumed backup services calculated for a chargeback report.
  • Report ID — number that uniquely identifies a chargeback report.

Types of Chargeback Reports

Information available in a chargeback report depends on the chargeback report type.

Veeam Availability Console offers three types of chargeback reports:

  • Summary chargeback report provides information about consumed services and their cost.
  • Detailed chargeback report provides information about consumed services and their cost. In addition, a detailed chargeback report provides information about services consumed by each department location on each day of a specified period.
  • Quota usage report provides information about services consumed by each department location on each day of a specified period. A quota usage report does not include cost details.

Summary Chargeback Report

A summary chargeback report provides information about consumed services and their cost.

An example of a summary chargeback report is shown below.

A summary chargeback report includes the following information:

  • Report ID — number that uniquely identifies a chargeback report.
  • Generation date — date when a chargeback report was generated, in the M/D/YYYY format.
  • Department quota usage — billing period.
  • From — name and contact details of the service provider.
  • To — name and contact details of a managed department.
  • Summary — charge rate information specified in the chargeback template, total gross cost, as well as the chargeback report total. This section also includes the cost breakdown for all types of provided services.

Detailed Chargeback Report

A detailed chargeback report provides information about consumed services and their cost. In addition, a detailed chargeback report provides information about services consumed by each department location on each day of a specified period.

An example of a detailed chargeback report is shown below.

A detailed chargeback report includes the following information:

  • Report ID — number that uniquely identifies a chargeback report.
  • Generation date — date when a chargeback report was generated, in the M/D/YYYY format.
  • Department quota usage — billing period.
  • From — name and contact details of the service provider.
  • To — name and contact details of a managed department.
  • Summary — charge rate information specified in the chargeback template, total gross cost, as well as the chargeback report total. This section also includes the cost breakdown for all types of provided services.

Quota Usage Report

A quota usage report provides information about services consumed by each department location on each day of a specified period. A quota usage report does not include service cost details.

A quota usage report includes the following information:

  • Generation date — date when a report was generated, in the M/D/YYYY format.
  • Department quota usage — period for which quota usage details are provided.
  • From — name and contact details of the service provider.
  • To — name and contact details of a managed department.
  • Details — information about services consumed by each department location on each day of the quota usage period.
