When you create a new user that can work with the Veeam Service Provider Console Reseller Portal, you must assign a role to this user. A user role defines permissions for a user, that is, what operations a user can perform, and what scope of data is available to a user in Veeam Service Provider Console.
Veeam Service Provider Console supports the following user roles for reseller companies:
- Service Provider Global Administrator
- Service Provider Administrator
- Service Provider Operator
- Service Provider User
- Service Provider Invoice Auditor
Service Provider Global Administrator
Service Provider Global Administrator is the primary user acting on behalf of a reseller company that intermediates backup services to client companies. The Service Provider Global Administrator user is created when a reseller account is registered in Veeam Service Provider Console. For each reseller, there can be only one Service Provider Global Administrator.
Service Provider Administrator
Service Provider Administrator has a similar set of privileges as the Service Provider Global Administrator, with the following limitations:
- Service Provider Administrator cannot modify or remove Service Provider Global Administrator
- Service Provider Administrator does not have access to API keys configuration
A Service Provider Operator can perform all kinds of management tasks for companies in the access scope. Data available to a Service Provider Operator can be limited to one or more client companies, and the user can access data pertaining to all managed Veeam backup agents, Veeam Backup & Replication or Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager servers in these companies.
Service Provider User has access to client companies monitoring data, but cannot perform most configuration and management tasks. Data available to a Service Provider User can be limited to one or more client companies, and the user can access data pertaining to all managed Veeam backup agents, Veeam Backup & Replication or Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager servers in these companies.
Service Provider Invoice Auditor
Service Provider Invoice Auditor has access to invoices and billing details pertaining to all client companies.
