Delete a vCD Resource

You can unassign a vCloud Director Organization with specified vDC ID from a company by deleting a vCloud Director resource.


To delete a vCloud Director resource, send the DELETE HTTPS request to the URL of the /tenants/{ID}/vcdResources/{dataCenterUid} resource.

DELETE https://<Availability-Console>:1281/v2/tenants/{ID}/vcdResources/{dataCenterUid}

Request Headers

The request header must contain the authorization token for the current logon session.


The server returns the following response to the client.

A successfully completed operation returns response code 200 Success.

Example Delete a vCD Resource

The following example deletes a vCloud Director resource with Organization vDC ID f178f57a-a997-4245-8bfc-ef0902cd4f9a from a company with ID 1.
