Scenario 1: Single-Server Production Installation or Proof of Concept Deployment

You can use the scenario for testing and product evaluation. You can also use this scenario in case you do not need to delegate permissions on failover procedures to other users.

This simple scenario is a proof of concept of the Simple Deployment Mode.

In the scenario, only a single VAO server is deployed. Therefore, only a single VAO site is defined and must be designated the DR site. The DR site has the following infrastructure components deployed:

  • DR VAO server — collects data on the VM inventory, and also provides failover plan management, testing and execution.
  • Veeam Backup & Replication server (standalone or embedded) — handles replication jobs and virtual labs, and is also used for failover orchestration.

The diagram below illustrates this deployment scenario for users who already have an existing Veeam Backup & Replication server running in their infrastructure.

Veeam Availability Orchestrator Architecture

The diagram below illustrates this deployment scenario for users who do not have an existing standalone Veeam Backup & Replication server running in their infrastructure.

I want to report a typo

There is a misspelling right here:

I want to let the Veeam Documentation Team know about that.
