Removing Policies

You can permanently remove a backup policy from Veeam Backup for AWS. When you remove a backup policy, cloud-native snapshots and/or image-level backups created by this backup policy remain intact in Amazon S3. Such snapshots and backups are not deleted from the configuration database — you can find them in the Protected Data view. For details, see Viewing Backed-Up EC2 Instances.

To remove backup policies:

  1. In the configuration menu on the left, click Policies.
  2. Select check boxes next to backup policies that you want to remove.

You can use the search field to find the necessary backup policy by name or use filters to limit the list of backup policies displayed in the working area.

  1. At the top of the backup policies list, click Remove.
