Viewing Backup Policy Details

To view backup policy details, in the main menu on the left, click Policies.

Each backup policy is described with a set of properties.

  • Priority — backup policy priority.
  • Policy — backup policy name.
  • Snapshots status of the latest backup session producing cloud-native snapshots (Success, Warning, Failed, Running, Pending, Cancelled, Stopping, Never Executed).
  • Backups status of the latest backup session producing image-level backups (Success, Warning, Failed, Running, Pending, Cancelled, Stopping, Never Executed).
  • Replication status of the latest backup session producing snapshot replicas (Success, Warning, Failed, Running, Pending, Cancelled, Stopping, Never Executed).
  • Last Run — date and time when the latest backup session started.
  • Last Duration — duration of the latest backup session.
  • Next Run — date and time when the next backup session is scheduled to run.
  • State — backup policy state (Enabled, Disabled).
  • Description — backup policy description.

Tip

To hide or display properties, click the ellipsis on the right of the list header and do the following:

  • Clear the check boxes next to the properties that you want to hide.
  • Select the check boxes next to the hidden properties to make them visible.

Filtering Backup Policies

You can filter the list of backup policies displayed in the working area by the status of the latest backup session and/or backup policy state.

  1. At the top of the backup policies list, click Filter.
  2. In the Filtering options window, select check boxes next to the necessary backup session status and/or backup policy state and click Apply.

Viewing Backup Policy Settings and Session Statistics

For each backup policy, you can view settings that were configured in the Add Policy wizard and backup session statistics.

  1. To view backup policy settings, select the check box next to the necessary backup policy and click View Info at the top of the backup policies list.

Veeam Backup for AWS will display the Policy Summary window where you can view information on AWS regions in which reside EC2 instances protected by the backup policy, IAM role whose permissions are used to protect these EC2 instances and so on.

If necessary, you can use the Copy to clipboard button to copy and save backup policy settings for future reference.

Viewing Backup Policy Details 

  1. To view backup session statistics, select the check box next to the necessary backup policy. At the bottom of the backup policies list, Veeam Backup for AWS will display backup session statistics for each EC2 instance added to the backup policy.

To quickly find the necessary EC2 instance, you can use the search field. If necessary, you can filter EC2 instances by the status of the latest backup session. Additionally, in the Sessions section, you can filter backup sessions for an EC2 instance by the status and/or type.
