Step 5. Select Virtual Disks

[This step is available if you perform a restore to a new location or with different settings.]

At the Disks step of the wizard, change disk properties of the selected Microsoft Azure VM.

To change disk properties, do the following:

  1. Select a virtual disk from the list and click Edit.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure will display the Disk Properties window.

  1. In the Disk Properties window, do the following:
  1. In the Disk name field, enter a name that you want to use for restored virtual disks.
  2. In the Resource group drop-down list, select a resource group to which you want to restore the selected virtual disk.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure automatically populates this list with resource groups that belong to the selected region that you specify at the previous step. You can select any resource group from the list. Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure does not apply any additional charges or speed limitations when changing the resource group.

  1. In the Disk type drop-down list, select a virtual disk type that Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure must use to convert the selected virtual disk.

You cannot convert unmanaged virtual disks into managed, but you can convert manged virtual disks into unmanaged.

  1. In the Storage account drop-down list, select an Azure storage account to which you want to restore the selected virtual disk.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure automatically populates this list with all storage accounts that are available in your Azure environment. You can select any storage account from the list.

  1. Click Apply.
