Working with Certificates

In this article

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure uses the following types of certificates to protect data transfer between the controller server, workers and the Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure web-console:

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure uses a web certificate for HTTPS requests to protect communications between the web-console (or other REST clients) and the controller server.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure uses a root worker certificate to sign an individual certificate of each worker. Individual certificates protect communications between the controller server and workers. For more information about workers, see Workers.
