License Management

After you deploy Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365, you should install the product license. Do the following:

  1. The program will prompt for license installation at the first start. Follow the steps described below. Alternatively, you can open the main menu and select the License command (see Getting to Know the User Interface for more information.)
  1. In the License Information dialog displayed, click Install and specify the full path to the required .LIC file.
  2. Click Close to save the settings and close the dialog.

License Management 

Take similar steps if you want to change the license file - for example, after purchasing a commercial license instead of free.

To view license information, select the License command from the main menu. Then you can examine the following: license status, expiration date, license type, contact person's name, the number of licensed users, support ID and support expiration date.

Note:

  • If you do not install any license at all, the backup jobs will terminate with an error message written in the session log.
  • If the license expires, the corresponding warning message will be written in the session log until you install a new license. See the above sections for details.
