To prepare for restore from your backups created on the provider side with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365, do the following:
- If you plan to use Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Exchange to perform mail data restore, make sure that you have it installed as a part of Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 Update 3 (build 22.214.171.1245 or later) or as a part of Veeam Backup for Office 365 1.5 (build 126.96.36.1999 or later).
- Communicate source Exchange organization credentials to your Veeam Cloud & Service provider.
- Use Veeam Backup & Replication console to configure connection to your Veeam Cloud & Service Provider, as described here, including the Cloud Gateway server settings and tenant account; also, verify TLS certificate used by service provider.
