Export-VESPItem

Short Description

Exports SharePoint Item.

Syntax

This cmdlet provides the following parameter sets.

  • For restoring an organization's SharePoint list:

Export-VESPItem -List <VESPList> -Path <string> [-Force]  [<CommonParameters>]

  • For restoring an organization's SharePoint document library:

Export-VESPItem [-DocumentLibrary] <VESPDocumentLibrary> -Path <string> [-Force]  [<CommonParameters>]

Detailed Description

This cmdlet exports SharePoint lists and document libraries.

Export-VESPItem Note:

Before performing export operations you must first start a restore session. For more information, see Start-VBOSharePointItemRestoreSession.

Example 1

This example shows how to export the SharePoint list with the name "Color names list" to the "C:\save" folder.

  1. Run Get-VBOSharePointItemRestoreSession to get the active restore session. Save the result to the $session variable.
  2. Run Get-VESPOrganization with the $session variable and Name parameter to get the organzation with the name "ABC". Save the result to the $organization variable.
  3. Run Get-VESPList with the $organization variable and Name parameter to get a SharePoint list with a name "Color names list". Save the result to the $list variable.
  4. Run Export-VESPItem with the $list variable and Path parameter to export the "Color names list" SharePoint list to the "C:\save" folder.

$session = Get-VBOSharePointItemRestoreSession

$organization = Get-VESPOrganization -Session $session -Name "ABC"

$list = Get-VESPList -Organization $organization -Name "Color names list"

Export-VESPItem -List $list -Path "C:\save"

Example 2

This example shows how to export the SharePoint document library with the name "Color names" to the "C:\save" folder.

  1. Run Get-VBOSharePointItemRestoreSession to get the active restore session. Save the result to the $session variable.
  2. Run Get-VESPOrganization with the $session variable and Name parameter to get the organzation with the name "ABC". Save the result to the $organization variable.
  3. Run Get-VESPDocumentLibrary with the $organization variable and Name parameter to get a SharePoint document library with a name "Color names". Save the result to the $doclib variable.
  4. Run Export-VESPItem with the $list variable and Path parameter to export the "Color names" SharePoint document library to the "C:\save" folder.
