# Remove-VBOProxy

## Short Description
Removes backup proxy servers.

## Syntax

Remove-VBOProxy -Proxy <VBOProxy> [-Force] [-Credential <PSCredential>] [-WindowsCredential <PSCredential>]

## Detailed Description
This cmdlet allows you to remove backup proxy servers from the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 infrastructure.

This example shows how to remove the `tech.support.local` backup proxy server from the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 infrastructure.

```

Perform the following steps:

1. Run the [`Get-VBOProxy`](get-vboproxy.md) cmdlet. Specify the `Hostname` parameter value. Save the result to the `$proxy` variable.
2. Run the `Remove-VBOProxy` cmdlet. Set the `$proxy` variable as the `Proxy` parameter value. Provide the `Force` parameter.

Perform the following steps:

1. Run the [`ConvertTo-SecureString`](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/microsoft.powershell.security/convertto-securestring) cmdlet. Specify the necessary parameters. Save the result to the `$linuxpwd` variable.
2. Run the [`New-VBOLinuxCredential`](new-vbolinuxcredential.md) cmdlet. Specify the necessary parameters. Save the result to the `$linuxcredentials` variable.
3. Run the [`Get-VBOProxy`](get-vboproxy.md) cmdlet. Specify the `Hostname` parameter value. Save the result to the `$proxy` variable.
4. Run the `Remove-VBOProxy` cmdlet. Set the `$proxy` variable as the `Proxy` parameter value. Set the `$linuxcredentials` variable as the `LinuxCredential` parameter value.
