# Disable-VBRCloudTenant

## Short Description
Disables cloud tenant accounts.

## Syntax
```
Disable-VBRCloudTenant -CloudTenant <IVBRCloudTenant[]> [-WhatIf]
 [-Confirm] [<CommonParameters>]
```

## Detailed Description
This cmdlet disables a cloud tenant account. When you disable a tenant account, the tenant cannot use their account resources. You can disable the cloud tenant accounts of the following types:

- Simple cloud tenant accounts
- Cloud Director tenant accounts

Run the [`Enable-VBRCloudTenant`](enable-vbrcloudtenant.md) cmdlet to enable a disabled account.

Perform the following steps:

1. Run the [`Get-VBRCloudTenant`](get-vbrcloudtenant.md) cmdlet. Specify the `Name` parameter. Save the result to the `$tenant` variable.
2. Run the `Disable-VBRCloudTenant` cmdlet. Set the `$tenant` variable as the `CloudTenant` parameter value.
