# Adding Objects

To be able to view and restore archived records, you must first add to Veeam Data Cloud Salesforce Extension a Salesforce object that contains these records. By default, the most commonly archived objects (*Case* and *Task*) are added automatically during product installation.

To add a new object, do the following:

1. Switch to the **Page Layouts** tab.
2. Click **Add object** to expand the list of all available Salesforce objects. Then, select the necessary object and click the **Create** icon.
3. Repeat step 2 for each object whose records you want to be shown to users.
