# Registering Product

To start working with Veeam Data Cloud Salesforce Extension, you must register the product in Veeam Data Cloud for Salesforce. During the registration process, Veeam Data Cloud for Salesforce will create [named credentials](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.named_credentials_about.htm&type=5) in your target Salesforce organization and will send a request to Salesforce to generate a certificate — it will be used to authenticate all requests from the product to Veeam Data Cloud for Salesforce.

To register the product, do the following:

1. In Veeam Data Cloud Salesforce Extension, switch to the **Getting Started** tab and click **Veeam Data Cloud**. You will be redirected to the Veeam Data Cloud for Salesforce authentication page. 
2. On the Veeam Data Cloud portal, choose a sign-in method:

   - To log in using your Microsoft 365 account, select **Continue with Microsoft**. You will be redirected to the Microsoft Entra authentication page.
   - To log in using your Veeam My Account credentials, select **Continue with Veeam**. You will be redirected to the Sign in to Veeam authentication page.

   Then, select an existing user or provide credentials for a new user to sign in. Keep in mind that the user that you specify must have the permissions required to manage tenants (that is, the user must have either the *Salesforce:Administrator* or *Salesforce:Backup Operator* role assigned). 3. In Veeam Data Cloud for Salesforce, do the following:

   1. On the **Overview** page, navigate to **Workloads** > **Salesforce**.
   2. From the **Tenant Name** list, select a Salesforce organization where you want to register Veeam Data Cloud Salesforce Extension. 

      Alternatively, you can enter the organization name in the search field.

   3. Navigate to **Settings** > **Salesforce Connection**.
   4. In the **Salesforce Package Connection** section, click **Enroll Package**.
