You can manually upload files and folders from on-premises to Azure VMs. This option can be useful if you need to occasionally copy to an Azure VM one folder, one file, or several files in the same folder.

Uploading One or More Files Manually

You can manually upload to an Azure VM one file, or several files that reside in the same folder:

1.Open the Virtual Machines view.

2.In the Machines list on the left, choose the necessary Azure VM, expand its folder tree and select a folder to which you want to upload files.

3.Do one of the following:

Click Upload Files on the ribbon.

Right-click the target folder and choose Upload Files.

4.In the Open window, browse to the files that you want to upload, select them and click Open.

To select several files in a folder, press and hold the [CTRL] or [SHIFT] key on the keyboard.

5.When upload is completed, right-click anywhere in the right pane and choose Refresh to view an updated list of files in the folder.

Upload Files

Each time you choose to upload files manually, Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure creates and starts a files upload job. To view results of the upload operation, open the Jobs tab and choose a corresponding job: the job name contains the date and time when upload was performed. You can edit settings of this job and manage it just like any other job. For details, see Creating Files Upload Jobs and Managing Jobs.

Uploading a Folder Manually

You can manually upload to an Azure VM a folder with its content, including subfolders and files:

4.In the Browse For Folder window, browse to the folder that you want to upload, select it and click OK.
