Renaming Files and Folders

You can rename files and folders in the Azure VM guest file system.

Before you rename files or folders, make sure that the Azure VM is connected to Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure and running. For details on configuring connections to Azure VMs, see Connecting Azure VMs.

Renaming Files

To rename a file:

1.Open the Virtual Machines view.

2.In the Machines list on the left, choose the necessary Azure VM and expand its folder tree.

3.In the list of files on the right, select a file you want to rename and do one of the following:

Click Rename File on the ribbon.

Right-click the file and choose Rename File.

4.Type a new file name and press [Enter], or click anywhere in the Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure interface.

To rename a folder:

1.Open the Virtual Machines view.

2.In the Machines list on the left, choose the necessary Azure VM and expand its folder tree.

3.Select a folder you want to rename and do one of the following:

Click Rename Folder on the ribbon.

Right-click the folder and choose Rename Folder.

4.Type a new folder name and press [Enter], or click anywhere in the Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure interface.
