Backup Repository

This report shows the dynamics of disk space usage on backup repositories and calculates the date when the repositories will run out of free space. The report helps you ensure that there is sufficient room on repositories for your backup data.

Report Parts

The report is based on the following report parts:

• Summary section shows the number of repositories in the managed backup infrastructure, the number of backup and backup copy jobs that write data to these repositories, number of VMs whose backups are stored on repositories, total repository capacity, total amount of free space available, and the ratio of repository space utilization.
• Capacity Planning section shows the minimum number of days left before one of repositories will run out of space. It also shows the amount of repository space that you need to provision to ensure that the repositories will not run out of space within the next 30 days.
• Repository Usage section shows capacity, free and used space values for each repository.
• Top Growing Repositories by Days Left diagram estimates how many days are left before each repository will run out of free space.
• Details table shows repositories that will (and will not) run out of free space within the next 30 and 60 days. For each repository, the table provides details on the repository type, capacity, amount of free space, number of VMs whose backups are stored on the repository, the rate at which free space decreases, and the estimated number of days left before the repository will run out of space.
