How It Works

The Veeam Backup Add-on has been developed in cooperation with Kaseya Software. The Veeam Backup Add-on fully integrates with the native Kaseya engine and its agent-based architecture.

The solution relies on the following components:

• The Veeam Backup Add-on installed on the Kaseya server

• Kaseya agents deployed inside the managed machines

Managed machines include:

• Machines running Veeam Backup & Replication or Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager
• VMware and Hyper-V VMs protected with Veeam Backup & Replication

Each Kaseya agent collects information from the hosting machine and communicates it to the Kaseya server. The Veeam Backup Add-on installed on the Kaseya server gathers collected information from agents and translates this information into the summary dashboard, views, reports and alarms.
