In the LabTech Control Center, you can configure Veeam Endpoint Backup global settings for one endpoint, or for a group of endpoints at a time.
Before you configure global settings, make sure that Veeam Endpoint Backup has been activated. For details, see Activating Veeam Endpoint Backup.
To configure Veeam Endpoint Backup global settings on one or more remote endpoints:
1.In the LabTech Control Center, navigate to the Veeam Endpoint Backup Jobs section.
▪[For LabTech 11] Double-click a client or location, and open the Veeam Endpoint Backup Jobs tab.
You can also expand Clients > Client > Location and double-click the necessary computer. In the Computer Management window, click Plugins, and then click Veeam Endpoint Backup Jobs.
▪[For LabTech 10.5] Double-click a client, location or computer, and open the Veeam Endpoint Backup Jobs tab.
2.Select check boxes next to the necessary endpoints in the list and click Settings.
3.In the Settings window, specify the required global settings:
▪Disable scheduled backups — select this option if you do not want to run automatic backups for some period of time. For example, you may want to put backup activities on hold if you plan to perform resource consuming operations on the endpoint at the time when the backup job is scheduled. To learn more, see Veeam Endpoint Backup User Guide, section Disabling and Enabling Backups.
▪Enable Control Panel notifications — select this option if you want to enable Veeam Endpoint Backup warning and information messages on the notification bar in the Control Panel. To learn more, see Veeam Endpoint Backup User Guide, section Disabling Veeam Endpoint Backup Notifications.
▪Disable backup over metered connection — select this option if you want to disable backup over metered Internet connection to avoid extra costs. Veeam Endpoint Backup can automatically detect metered connections. If this option is enabled, Veeam Endpoint Backup will not perform backup when the endpoint is on such connection. To learn more, see Veeam Endpoint Backup User Guide, section Disabling Backup over Metered Connections.
▪Throttle backup activity when system is busy — select this option if during backup Veeam Endpoint Backup must set low priority for its components engaged in the backup process. To learn more, see Veeam Endpoint Backup User Guide, section Throttling Backup Activities.
After you save changes, Veeam Endpoint Backup for LabTech will run the Apply Veeam Endpoint Backup application settings script that will propagate updated settings to remote endpoints.
