You can remotely install Veeam Endpoint Backup on one or more agent-enabled computers from the LabTech Control Center.

To install Veeam Endpoint Backup, you must run a script called Install Veeam Endpoint Backup. During its execution, the script checks whether the supported version of Veeam Endpoint Backup is installed on the target endpoint. If the required product version is not installed, the script accesses the setup file, and triggers the installation process. After installation, the script automatically activates Veeam Endpoint Backup.

The script can use a Veeam Endpoint Backup setup file that resides in the following locations:

In the C:\VEB folder on the target endpoint.

If the target endpoint does not have Internet connection, or you want to decrease the amount of web traffic, you must manually download the supported version of Veeam Endpoint Backup and place the setup file to the C:\VEB folder on the target endpoint. The Install Veeam Endpoint Backup script will use this setup file to install Veeam Endpoint Backup.

On the Veeam Update Server.

If the target endpoint has Internet connection, and there is no setup file in the C:\VEB folder (or the folder does not exist), the Install Veeam Endpoint Backup script will download the setup file from the Veeam Update Server.

Veeam Endpoint Backup is installed using an account under which the LabTech agent runs on the target endpoint.

To install Veeam Endpoint Backup on one or more endpoints:

1.In the LabTech Control Center, right-click a client, location, group or computer.

2.Choose the script that will install Veeam Endpoint Backup:

[For LabTech 11] From the shortcut menu, select Scripts > Veeam Endpoint Backup > Install Veeam Endpoint Backup.

[For LabTech 10.5] From the shortcut menu, select Scripts > Backup and Recovery > Veeam Endpoint Backup > Install Veeam Endpoint Backup.

3.In the Schedule section of the Run Script window, select Once and specify date and time when the script must be started.

4.Click OK. The installation process may take up to several minutes to complete.

5.In some cases, after installation you might need to restart the target endpoint (for example, if the setup detects a pending computer restart).

When installation completes, the target endpoint will be included in the Veeam Endpoint Backup computer group.

Other Ways to Install Veeam Endpoint Backup

Instead of installing Veeam Endpoint Backup from the LabTech Control Center, you can install the product on endpoints in a regular way, either using the setup wizard, or the command line interface. For details, see Veeam Endpoint Backup User Guide, sections Installing Veeam Endpoint Backup and Installing Veeam Endpoint Backup in Unattended Mode.

In this case, you will need to manually activate Veeam Endpoint Backup when installation completes. For details, see Activating Veeam Endpoint Backup.
