The Capacity Planning for Azure Hybrid Cloud report evaluates workloads in your on-premises virtual infrastructure and estimates the resources needed to run these workloads in the Windows Azure cloud.

The report analyzes VM configuration and historical performance (CPU, storage and memory resources consumed by VMs and VM templates running on vSphere/Hyper-V hosts) and provides estimation of the Windows Azure hosting options required to support your infrastructure in the cloud.

Calculation of the necessary cloud hosting services is based on the Windows Azure specifications.

Sample Usage

This section provides step-by-step instructions that will help you understand how to create the Capacity Planning for Azure Hybrid Cloud report. Consider the following example:

You need to calculate the Windows Azure cloud hosting options required to support virtual machines running on the selected Hyper-V host. Use performance statistics for the previous quarter as a basis for the report analysis.
