Job Configuration Change Tracking

Previous page Next page Print this Topic

Table of contents

The report provides information on Veeam Backup & Replication job configuration changes performed within the reporting period, and shows the exact time when changes were made and users who performed these changes.

Veeam Backup & Replication jobs can be configured in the Veeam Backup & Replication console, Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager web portal, using PowerShell or REST API. In large environments with multiple backup administrators it is often hard to tell who changed job settings, when and what was changed.

The report helps you track job modifications, identify who and when made changes to job configuration, and thus simplify troubleshooting.

To run the Job Configuration Change Tracking report, you need to have the Veeam Management Pack installed.

Date/time Selection: defines the time period to analyze in the report.

Scope: defines a list of Veeam Backup & Replication servers that will be analyzed in the report (by default, the Veeam Backup Server Group is selected). The Add Group option returns a group and all objects that the group contains. The Add Object option returns only the selected object.

Job Type: defines types of jobs that will be analyzed in the report (Backup, Replication, SureBackup, VM/File Copy, Backup Copy, Backup to Tape, File to Tape, Failover Plan).

User Name: defines accounts of backup administrators whose activity will be analyzed.

1.The N/A user name includes all users that could not be identified by Veeam MP.
2.The list of user names may be empty in case no changes were made since Veeam management packs were imported.
