You may encounter an issue when Veeam OMS dashboards in the Microsoft OMS workspace display no data. Resolution will depend on the root cause of the issue:

1.The Veeam Integration Pack for Operations Management Suite is not installed.
2.The Ops Mgr is not connected to the Microsoft OMS workspace that you use to monitor data.
3.The Root Management Server is not added to the list of Microsoft OMS managed computers.
4.Data transfer from the Ops Mgr to the Microsoft OMS workspace fails.
5.Veeam MP license has expired.
6.Monitoring for VMware and Hyper-V servers is disabled.
7.Infrastructure discovery fails.
8.Data collection intervals configured in the Ops Mgr do not match Veeam OMS dashboard intervals.
9.Large size of your infrastructure causes Microsoft OMS data plan limit to be breached.

Veeam Integration Pack for Operations Management Suite not installed

In the Ops Mgr console, check the Management Packs list to make sure that the Veeam Integration Pack for Operations Management Suite has been imported. If not, import the management pack as described in section Installing Veeam Integration Pack for Operations Management Suite.

Ops Mgr not connected to Microsoft OMS workspace

In the Ops Mgr console, check the Operations Management Suite Connection settings to make sure that the Ops Mgr is connected to the same Microsoft OMS workspace that you use to monitor data. If not, connect the Ops Mgr to the Microsoft OMS as described in this Microsoft article.

RMS not added to Microsoft OMS managed computers

In the Ops Mgr console, make sure that the Root Management Server is added to the list of Managed Computers. If not, add the server as described in this Microsoft article.

Data transfer fails

In the Ops Mgr console, check the list of the Ops Mgr alerts to make sure that the Management Server does not have issues transferring data to the cloud. For each issue, check the alert description to find the root cause of the issue. Resolution will depend on the root cause.

Veeam MP license expired

In the Veeam UI, check the Dashboard tab to make sure that the valid Veeam MP license is provided. If not, update licensing information as described in the Veeam MP for VMware Operations Guide and Veeam MP for Hyper-V User Guide.

Infrastructure monitoring disabled

In the Veeam UI, check the Servers tab to make sure that you enabled monitoring for connected servers. If not, start monitoring as described in the Veeam MP for VMware Operations Guide and Veeam MP for Hyper-V User Guide.

Infrastructure discovery fails

In the Ops Mgr console, check Veeam MP topology diagram views to make sure that the Ops Mgr has successfully discovered the connected servers. If not, follow the instructions provided in the Veeam MP for VMware Operations Guide and Veeam MP for Hyper-V User Guide.

Data collection fails

By default, Veeam Integration Pack for Operations Management Suite rules are configured to send data to the Microsoft OMS workspace every 15 minutes, and the IntervalSeconds rule parameter is set to 900. This interval must be identical for all rules used by Veeam OMS dashboards. That is why in case you override the interval in the Ops Mgr console, make sure to:

1.Change the same interval in the corresponding Veeam OMS dashboard.

Veeam MP Resource Kit already includes a script that allows you to override the interval automatically. For more information on how to use the script, see section Changing Data Collection Interval with PowerShell Script.

noteNote

When configuring the interval parameter value, keep in mind that the Ops Mgr interval is specified in seconds, while the Veeam OMS dashboard interval is specified in minutes.

2.Reimport the .omsview file into the OMS workspace as described in section Installing Veeam Integration Pack for Operations Management Suite.

Microsoft OMS data plan limit breached

Microsoft OMS Free pricing plan has a data collection limit set to 500MB per day. If the large size of your infrastructure causes the limit to be breached, you may do one of the following:

1.Disable unnecessary Veeam Integration Pack for Operations Management Suite rules.
2.Override the onlyTotal Veeam Integration Pack for Operations Management Suite rule parameter values to send only _Total metric instances to the Microsoft OMS workspace.
3.Consider switching to the paid pricing plan. For more information on Microsoft OMS pricing details, see www.microsoft.com
