The following features and enhancements were introduced in Veeam MP 8.0 – Update 3 for VMware.

Support for new Microsoft platforms

Veeam MP announces support for Windows Server 2016, Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2016 and System Center 2016 Operations Manager.

Support for VMware vSphere 6.5

Veeam MP now provides full support for RTM vSphere 6.5.

Veeam VMware custom monitors in Ops Mgr Authoring pane

You can create an Ops Mgr unit monitor based on one of the predefined Veeam MP for VMware monitor types — vCenter Alarm Monitor and vSphere Host Service Monitor:

If based on the vCenter Alarm Monitor type, this monitor will use data obtained from Veeam Collectors to track custom alarms configured in the vCenter Server.
If based on the vSphere Host Service Monitor type, this monitor will use data obtained from Veeam Collectors to check the state of services running on ESXi hosts.

Veeam MP now also offers the Show ESXi Host Services State task which you can run to get the list of all services installed on a host.

For more information, see the Operations Guide.

Customizable Veeam Morning Coffee Dashboard™

The Morning Coffee Dashboard is the first thing to see once you get to work. This dashboard provides at-a-glance real-time overview of your infrastructure. The dashboard tracks the state of infrastructure objects and the overall resource utilization, and immediately displays these changes in a single view.

Veeam MP 8.0 for System Center – Update 3 allows you to create your own customizable Morning Coffee Widget that you can include in dashboards. To learn how to create the Morning Coffee Widget, see the Operations Guide.

New Veeam VMware Virtual SAN Alarms MP

Veeam MP now includes a separate Veeam VMware Virtual SAN Alarms management pack with more than 70 monitors which allow you to track individual VSAN health checks and assess overall health of VSAN clusters. Each monitor comes with its own Knowledge Base article that describes what exactly a particular Virtual SAN health check does.
