New Operations

The following new operations were introduced in REST API v1.6.

Continuous Data Protection (CDP)

In version 1.6, you can view, edit, enable and disable CDP policies created on backup servers added to the Enterprise Manager infrastructure. For replicated VMs, you can monitor replication sessions and start the failover process.

vCloud Director Replication

With the REST API, you can manage vCD replication by using regular job and session methods. In version 1.6, the /vmReplicaPoints resource does not contain vApp replica points. Now they are represented with a new endpoint /vAppReplicaPoints that you can use to view replica restore points and to start failover.
