Step 4. Choose Restore Mode

At the Restore Mode step of the wizard, choose whether you want to restore the selected RDS instance to the original or to a custom location. If you select the Restore to new location, or with different settings option, specify the target AWS Region where the restored RDS instance will operate.

Important

You cannot restore to the original location if the restore point selected at the Instance step of the wizard has the AWS snapshot type, or if the IAM role specified at the Account step of the wizard belongs to the AWS account other than the AWS account where the restore point was created.
